Please, tell us what your work is about.
We are a boat dealership, and we sell boats, motors, trailers and parts. Along with having a marine service facility for pleasure and commercial boaters.
What kind of processes do you manage using Kanban Tool?
We manage our serialized inventory. We have one for each location to keep track of what sells and when. We also have one used to take messages down for the service department.
Could you describe your workflow?
Once a deposit or full payment has been made on an item, the salesperson will create the card with the information needed and upload any necessary paperwork. Then the card will be moved to the next appropriate column depending on the work needed for the product. Once all the work is completed for the product the card will be moved and then once the item has been finalized and picked up, then the card will be finished in the last column. At the end of each month, we archive the cards in the final column.
What do your board and card template look like?
Each column is an action, and each card has the customer info, and what they are purchasing. When a card is created, a built-in checklist auto populates for us to follow as the card is moved through each column, and sub-tasks are completed.
What adjustments did you make in order to improve your workflow?
We added the checklist to be auto populated when a card is created, along with auto assigning a person when a card is moved to certain columns.
What features or integrations do you value most in Kanban Tool and why?
What are the most important benefits of using Kanban Tool for you and your team?
Being able to use it together across all of our locations to communicate and keep track of all the sales.
