As technology continues to advance, it is no surprise that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become increasingly popular across various industries. With the integration of AI in Kanban Tool, we are excited to introduce the AI Assistant - a powerful new Power-Up and functionality in Kanban Tool that leverages OpenAI^® language models to help you take your productivity and workflow management to the next level.

Here's how it works: when creating a new Kanban Board, you can ask the AI Assistant for help. Once you name the things you plan to work on the new board (e.g., "software development tasks", "customer service", "plan a marketing campaign"), the assistant will come up with a board layout and card types suggestions. The suggested board layout and card types can be later modified to better meet your individual needs.

The AI Assistant can also help when it comes to checklist creation. To get started, you need to enable the new AI Assistant Power-Up. Once done, you'll see a new +Suggest checklist option on your cards next to the +Add checklist link. Now, click +Suggest checklist and fill in the input box with a general description of what you'll be doing as part of the task (e.g., "write new 'about us' page copy", "plan executive meeting for new quarter goals", or simply "write a blog post").

The AI Assistant will suggest relevant checklist items based on that description. You can then pick and reorder them as needed, generate even more ideas, and add the selected items to your task’s checklist with just a click of a button.

When you're planning work in a subject matter that you lack experience in and you are not quite sure where to start, you can use the Suggest tasks option available in all your Kanban board columns under a column's right-click menu. The assistant will ask you to enter the goal you plan to work towards and generate a personalized list of tasks likely to help you achieve it. With that, you will save time and end up with a more comprehensive, detailed work plan designed specifically for your needs.

The AI Assistant's suggestions are perfect for those with multi-faceted roles, trying to tackle new areas of work, or perhaps needing some inspiration. But they will also aid those sticking to a once-set work routine who would nevertheless like to try new ideas or verify and innovate their process. Try it - it's so much fun!
